Excellent piece by Daniel. So straight-forward, yet so common mistakes. At the end of the day SEO consulting is about offering solutions to achieve organic search goals. If what you recommend doesn’t help, if you’re not capable to understand and align, if you don’t do what you have committed and don’t communicate what you’re doing… why they should hire you? This is why soft-skills are a must for SEO consultants.
Soft skill surely are a fundamental asset, as they also in every job.
But one that it is not so cited is patience, because sometimes you work with clients/bosses that really pretend a lot of patience for working with them :-).
